And finally...

...my own personal Christmas cards, my dad's birthday cards (for his birthday on Boxing Day!) some wedding cards made yesterday for hubby to take to work with him.

The stamps used on these cards (all 52 of them) are from Clearly Besotted Stamps and they were just what I was looking for. I wanted something modern but elegant and I think these stamps are right on the button :) I just popped over the Stephanie's web site to get the link to post on here and it's cost me nearly £20 lol I can see me being a regular at Clearly Besotted! The two cards below were also made using CB stamps.

The following few cards were made using the Lili of the Valley pre-coloured images.
Dad's birthday card
and the favours I made for the dinner table at the hotel....Lindt Lindor chocs, mmmmmmmmm

This plaque was made to put on the grave of grandparents. The lady who commissioned it sent me the verse and I did the rest. The verse is laminated and the edges are sealed with Diamond Glaze. The plaque has had about 8 coats of varnish so it should last for a while.

I've just realised that I haven't cropped these photos, I will do it tomorrow and replace them.

Take care and enjoy your evening. xx

Funky Friday

I really can't believe that it's only 6 days since Christmas! We are out tonight and then tomorrow when I get home the decorations will come down and that's it gone properly for another year. I have a special request for 2013...please slow down, 2012 disappeared all too quickly.

Now I know it's only Monday but I wanted to tell you about the sale which is on until the 2nd January and I wanted to update my blog with my final Funky Hand cards and I can start anew on Friday :)

Thank you for visiting my blog and for the lovely comments, they really do mean a lot.
Take care xx

It's a date!!

It was my turn to write for the new revamped Get Funky and Craft blog today and as I wanted to make my lovely mum in law a new calendar I thought this would be the perfect post, the only thing is.....I forgot to add it here too. I must have got it into my head that I'd written it for today and that was it lol

Anyway here is the picture of the finished version

I won't bore you by adding all the details here, if you would like to see how it was done or even just what papers I've used then please take a look at the Get Funky and Craft blog.

Thanks for looking, back soon. xx

Happy birthday

to you, happy birthday to you.........I got to make a birthday card today, as if you didn't notice!!! It seems such a long time ago since I made anything that wasn't "Christmas" . :)

Gosh what a muppet! I started writing this post last night and must have dropped off before I finished writing it.

The backing paper with the butterflies is Kanban CRD1506 - Butterflies on Driftwood, the frame is a Spellbinders die but I can't remember which one, the rubber stamped flower frame is one I bought off someone years ago and have never had any details for it but I can say that I stamped it three times and decoupaged it. Everything else is from my stash.

Thanks for looking :)

Funky Friday

I know it should now be Funky Sunday but I haven't known what day it's been all week, I've thought it has been Saturday since Thursday!!! Hubby works a lot at this time of year and mix that with my 18 and 19 hour days at the mo and it sort of throws one a bit :)

I had a slight accident this morning too. I'm working on a largish project for my first post on the new look Get Funky blog which is now called Get Funky & Craft! I got myself to a strategic point this morning and photographed the pieces I'd done and moved them off my desk onto my open top drawer which, at the moment is an extension of my desk.....and promptly tipped my coffee everywhere. It missed my lap top, thank goodness, but went all over me and some jewellery components which were on my desk so I had to move everything to mop up and clean the desk down. I'm just thankful that I moved my mystery project :)

My cards this week were made on Thursday ready to go out on Friday as part of an order for 21 assorted cards.

Papers used are from the fabulous new Christmas down load section of the Funky Hand web site and all of the images are from last year's Christmas section which are on the Twelve Crafters Crafting cd

That's it for this evening folks. i'm up at  six and have another busy day ahead of me so I will playcatch up shortly.
Take care and thanks for reading.

It's Kanban style :)

I hope everyone is ok and keeping warm. The timing for the delivery of my new Kanban kit is perfect (thank you Karen & co) as it means that instead of going out in the freezing cold I can stay indoors and craft :) I'm still fulfilling orders and have yet to start on our personal ones yet! We have finally started the prezzie shopping and will try to get the majority of it finished this week. I plan to do some internet shopping tomorrow too as I really dislike shopping so unfortunately I am responsible for the decline of town centre shopping :(

Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, my Kanban delivery (they are bringing out some truly fab stuff at the moment and great plans are afoot for 2013 so watch this space :)) I couldn't resist making this card.

Sunny Saturday

I can never think of a catchy title when writing a blog post. I look at other blogs and wonder why I can't come up with anything funny, maybe one day LOL

My card today was totally out of my comfort zone but I got the skater stamp free on the front of a mag, I think it was Papercraft Essentials, but as soon as I saw it I saw three of them skating on a pond.

I stamped the skater on the left then the middle one, I then made a mask and used it on the middle skater when I stamped the third one so it looked as though he was in front of the second......does that sound English? The skaters were coloured with Promarkers (I did try Spectrum Noirs but one of them 'blobbed' on my image and I had to throw my piece away and start again). I stamped onto Blink of an Eye by MME, a piece of Prima Botanical paper and a piece of Snowed in Winter papers by MME and used the cut outs to paper piece a couple of the skaters. Everything else was cut out with Cuttlebug dies and set onto mirror card and glitter card.

I hope you like it.

A couple of weeks ago hubby went to buy me some baubles so I could make some beaded bauble covers for my craft fayre and saw these
I think they are just fab and they definitely appealed to my sense of humour lol

I shall be adding my card to the a Card a Day blog and Facebook page.

So now I've done some ironing, I've got my blog up to date and I have my new Kanban kit sat on the floor staring up at me longingly, asking me to open it but I need to upload a load of stuff I've got for sale.....what shall I do?

Back soon, have a nice weekend. x

Funky Friday

It's all change on the Get Funky blog as we move from being a challenge blog to a blog that is full of inspiration and great ideas, Get Funky And Craft! :) There will be post from one of the team each Wednesday and another over the weekend so if there is anything you would like to see or then please let us know. Anice will also still be giving away her 'freebies' on the Funky Hand website so you will have to keep an eye out for them and here is the current one. We have a fabulous new logo too

So, my card
I made this card for the Boss' s birthday:)

Materials used: Stylish Tree #3 and Christmas Tree #3, both from the O Come All Ye Crafters collections available on the Funky Hand web site as downloads, gold mirri card, die cut flowers and a few crystals.

I made a birthday card to show how versatile this collection is, there are papers throughout the sets which can be used for any occasion.

Thanks for looking, back soon x

A new sketch

As it's the beginning of the month, it's new sketch time at  Kathy's Waffle Sketch File and as always it is a "goodun".

or you might prefer to use it in it's rotated form
You may even turn it upside down or back to front if you so wish. As long as we can see the sketch in your work you are free to use it how you like. You are not limited to cards either, try using it as a scrapbook page for instance. We are really looking forward to see what you come up with. Add yourself to Mr Linky at the bottom of the post and we will drop by to admire your work.

Don't forget to pop over to see what the design team have come up with to inspire you.
