As seen on TV

I know I said that I would be back at the weekend but I have been so busy, my life seems to be passing me by in a blur!

I was so chuffed to see my designs on TV again and managed to tape the re-run of the show on Friday evening. All the projects (apart from the very last one) were made using papers and images from Debbi Moore's Glitter and Glitz Art Deco Magic Moments cd

My little book mark....all I did for this one was print one of the images from the cd, mount it onto silver mirror card and laminate it. All it needed then was a punched hole in the bottom to thread the fibres through.

I love this card! The image was printed off at A4 and glittered (with Deb's fine glitter) to within an inch of her life........all the fronds down her skirt, dress straps, arm band and feathers all got it LOL I mounted her onto silver mirror card and added assorted clear diamantes, silver Card Candy from Craftwork Cards, QK flourishes, Prima flowers and ribbon from Ribbon Oasis

I love this note book and plan to make some as stocking fillers. I used MS Word to print the image onto the pages as a watermark and bound the whole lot together with my BIA.

This image was printed onto photo paper and the background was printed directly onto magnetic paper, both from Photo Paper Direct I have been absolutely blown away by the magnetic paper and will definitely be incorporating it into my work some more. It prints perfectly and I stamped straight onto it using a Memento ink pad. I also coloured my image using Promarkers as you will see below. The colours didn't blend quite as well as they do on card but the colouring was fine. My next task is to try them with Prisma pencils.....watch this space! The calendars are from Papermania.

I don't know if you can make this image out properly but it is actually a pyramage card. I had never made one of these until I got this cd and I ended up making two :) The pyramage 'tiles' were printed onto photo paper, (which is the perfect weight for this sort of work) again from PPD and cut by hand. The aperture was cut with my Nesties and ribbon and gems were from my stash.

Finally onto my groovy little fridge magnet. I used a stamp from a new set of ladies which don't appear to be up on Deb's web site yet. As I mentioned before, I stamped directly onto the magnetic paper and coloured the image with Promarkers. The sentiment is from another one of Debbi's stamp sets - The Deco Ladies

I also received some t shirt transfer paper in my pack and had the wonderful idea of printing one of the lady images onto it and ironing it onto a canvas to embellish......not one of my better ideas, howver and I now have a ruined canvas LOL I'm not sure if a bit of steam escaped from the iron or I moved it or didn't press hard enough with the iron but no matter, it didn't work. I haven't been put off though and it is still on my to do list to master it :)

That's it for now, thanks for looking.

Card Sketches 37, 38, 39

Yes, I'm still playing catch up with the challenges.........I suppose I wouldn't be me if I stayed up to date every week. I've not got a cat in hell's chance of ever winning anything though cos I'm never done in time!! LOL That's a bit of a lie actually because my first card is also for the Passion For Promarkers challenge this week (which doesn't run out until Tuesday) and the colours to use are poppy and forest green.Materials: image - DewDrop Digiz, papers - The Merry Days of Christmas, My Mind's Eye, Promarkers,
ribbon and stars from stash, sentiment made in Word.

Materials: image - Hallow by DewDrop (see above), Promarkers, flowers - Prima, sentiment - Craftwork Cards, papers from off cut box

Phew!

I've got two more challenges for this card. The first is the sketch from last week's Sketch Saturday challenge and the Colour Create challenge which is "to use the colours black, white, yellow and red with the option of using flowers and checks." I managed the flower but couldn't find the checked ribbon so ended up using striped ribbon instead.

and this is the last of my DT cards for now (did I hear someone say thank goodness?) It's almost as good as having to sit through someone's holiday snaps LOL so the materials used are

image - DewDrop Digiz, Promarkers, paper and Page Frill - Doodlebug, ribbon - Ribbon Oasis, everything else from stash

I'll be back later with some blog candy so watch this space.

Meet Hallow,

The Halloween Pixie! She is one of the new Digiz from DewDrop Craftz and she is gorgeous.

Passion For Promarkers, and the challenge this week is any colours but you must use the sketch. I will also be entering my card for the Papertake Weekly challenge (along with guest DT Joanna Sheen!) this week which is
So, our challenge is, as I said, The Dark Side and we want to see anything spooky, creepy and Halloween-ie on your cards.

Materials: Image - DewDrop Digiz, Promarkers, scraps of ribbon, paper and brads from stash,

Another DT card

and another two challenges :)

This time I've used the sketch from Sketch and Stash and the challenge this week from the Secret Crafters is We want you to dig deep and use an old stamp or image on your projects. As usual any project as long as it fits the theme.Materials: papers - K & Co, image - DewDrop Digiz, Promarkers, ribbon and bling from stash and X Cut butterfly punch.

I've had this K & Co paper pad for a gazillion years and keep forgetting about it, so that's another two small pieces gone :)!

Sketch Saturday

And another great sketch from the Sketch Saturday team

Don't forget that Nikki at DewDrop has a DT call out at the moment but it closes at midnight tonight.

Busy doing nothing

....working the whole day through.........is anyone singing with me :)

I wish the above were true sometimes LOL Not sure what I would do with myself though if all of a sudden I had nothing to do!!

Right, onto the challenges. I didn't manage to get any done last week as I made the album for my friend's son, a load of samples for Debbi (which you can see on Create and Craft tomorrow at 4pm) and made a set of wedding invitations. I received some lovely new images(which will be available shortly) from Nikki at DewDrop Craftz so sat on Friday evening and coloured them then made them into cards over the weekend so I could catch up with some challenges :)

The sketch is from Mojo Monday (obviously!!) and I've also incorporated the Stamp Something challenge which is Our challenge this week is all about bling! We want to see your "Bling It" somethings! Anything that sparkles, shimmers, glimmers, or shines will work for this challenge! Get creative and some us your BLING!

Materials: image - DewDrop Digiz, papers and gems - Papermania from last year! silver mirror card,

On a roll

Using what was on my desk from other cards/projects I made another card. This time I used Laura's sketch from 2 sketches 4 you

Materials: papers - magazine freebies, flowers - Dianne's Die Cuts, Nestabilities, MS punch, lace and dew drop from stash

I've got enough stuff on my desk to make another 100 cards I think so I had better give it a tidy so I can get on with my album! I'm working on a square of about 10 square inches on an A3 cutting mat...........not good when I'm also on a six foot table LOL.

Take care, have a lovely Sunday (what's left of it) and thanks for looking :)

Mojo Monday 107

Good morning from a very sunny Corner. I have been up and working since 7.45...........on a Sunday?!!! Mad or what! I have an album I need to finish and am waiting on a delivery for a stationery order so I thought I would take advantage of the lovely peace and quiet (till the others get up) and catch up with some challenges. I'm still trying to fill the gaps in my card box before I go hell for leather into the Christmas cards. I still have a few left from last year so I will use those so that I can put the new ones into the shops :)

So, Mojo Monday is now on sketch 107 which is another great one.

Materials: image - Penny Black, Promarkers, papers - magazine freebies, ribbon - Ribbon Oasis,
gems - Papermania

My mummy will

.....wring my neck when she opens this card on Monday LOL. It's my parents 52nd wedding anniversary on Monday and I decided to use my Eunice stamp again (if you visit regularly you will know about Eunice :)) but don't have have any of the 'male' stamps to go with her. Whilst I was looking for something else I found my little golfer so decided to try him..........I would love to know what you think!!
I used sketch #72 from Friday Sketchers and the latest challenge from Passion For Promarkers
which is
"This week you can use any colours (so great for those of you who are building up your collections) but there is a recipe to follow - 3 different shapes (not including your card base), 2 papers and 1 ribbon" as chosen by Denise.

Materials: papers - Bloom & Grow, My Mind's Eye and Glitter vellum from Papermania, images - Eunice is from Art Impressions but I don't know who the golfer is by, flower - Prima, card candy and scalloped rectangle - Craftwork Cards,
ribbon -
Ribbon Oasis, Promarkers, everything else from stash

I looped the ribbon across the middle of the card and cut out and mounted the images on 3d foam pads.

When will I ever ......

....learn to read properly!!?!!

I visited the Secret Crafter's blog this morning to see what the new challenge was and saw the message from Wendy about the DT place prize from last week. I didn't notice when I did last week's challenge that you had to add DT to the Mr Linky/comment to be in with a chance, consequently, I didn't do it :( )h well, that will teach me!

Anyway, I've made a card for the challenge which is by Debby and she wants us to use Autumnal colours I also used the sketch #73 from Friday Sketchers

Materials: images - Pink Petticoat, ribbons - Ribbon Oasis, flowers - Prima,
flower centre - dew drop from my huge tub of them :))

DH has a wedding and a renewal of vows this evening so the cards are both for him.

Yay me!!

I've made the Top 5 Passionistas on the Passion For Promarkers blog and get to display the blinkie to tell the world!

Can you tell I'm chuffed ? LOL

Create and Craft Christmas

I have finally remembered to upload the cards I made for Debbi to take to Create and Craft for the Christmas Fun cd she demoed in August......my 15 minutes of fame :) The cd is full of Christmas images which can be just printed off, enlarged, decoupaged, glittered.......the possibilities are endless. I managed to video the show (for the first time!!) and must say that I got a bit of a thrill seeing my cards on the screen.......although I did pick fault with most of them LOL
This one is a spinner card which the presenter played with quite a bit!!

The outside of the card.........

and the inside

A gift bag and mini Christmas card.

I hope you like! I shall show the rest some other time.

Thanks for dropping by.

DewDrop Digiz

I received these images from Nikki at DewDrop Crafts the other day so once I'd sent back the coloured images I decided to make them into cards and I must say that I'm quite pleased with them. Although the camera hasn't picked them up properly, I added Glossy Accents 'rain drops' to the leaf and as drips under the leaf which led me to make a get well card.

Materials: image - DewDrop Digiz, Promarkers, papers - MME, ribbon - Ribbon Oasis, Glossy Accents

Materials: image - DewDrop Digiz, Promarkers, papers - mag freebies, gems - Papermania, flower - Prima,
sentiment -
Kirsty Wiseman, ribbon - stash

Materials: image - DewDrop Digiz, papers and rub ons - Doodlebug, Promarkers, flowers - Prima, everything else from stash

Off to do some work now.
Once again, thanks so much for looking and commenting on my work.....it really does mean a lot to me :)

Big boo boo

On a Saturday at some point I have a quick whizz through any of the challenges I want to do for that week and save them in my 'to do' folder on my desk top, that way if it's a sketch I can try to incorporate it into any work I have to do. So last Saturday I downloaded the sketch from Sketch Saturday but didn't read the instruction which went with it LOL I made my card then went back to the SS blog to make sure that I'd done the correct challenge only to read that it had to be a pet theme as well as the sketch. The card I made is the second one below using the boy and girl image! My challenge card is the one with the doggy on it LOL I'm also entering my first card in the Rosie-Dee challenge this week (that's sounds really strange!) which is 'Coffee and cream with a cherry on top'

Materials: papers - Wild Asparagus by MME and Regency by Papermania, image - The Digi Stamp Boutique,
flowers - Prima, brads - Doodlebug Sugar Coated, ribbon -
Ribbon Oasis, MS punch, Promarkers, Glossy Accents

I used Glossy Accents on the dogs nose and the heart but the picture hasn't picked it up! I coloured him with Promarkers but as he was printed onto a 'cheap' glossy card the ink dragged but I think it makes him look furry LOL

Materials: paper - Regency - Papermania, image - Personal Impressions, ribbon - Ribbon Oasis,
flowers - Prima, MS punch, pearls from stash

I love this image and hardly use it. It has just been stamped with a Versamark pad and embossed with gold powder. For some reason I prefer it as it is rather than coloured!!
